Urban Decay Sustainable Shadow Box
So I was at ULTA a few weeks ago and on a whim decided to buy this palatte. I had never read any reviews on it and it wasn’t on my WANT list but I saw it and grabbed it and hoped I would love it as much as my Urban Decay AMMO shadow box. The cost was $ 36.00. I listed the colors in the palatte and my opinion of them below:
YDK – Love, a very nice blendable bronzy neutral
Flipside – Love, a great pop of turquoise
Grifter – Like, a pretty lilac
URI – No color pay off, too glittery, should be white but looks like nothing by the time you blend it
Twice Baked- Love, a rich chocolate brown
Midnight Cowboy Rides Again- Too glittery, but swatches a neutral pinky beige
Flash- Like, bright purple
Oil Slick- Like, glittery black
Kiddie Pool- Too glittery, sky blue but very hard to blend because of the glitter
Half Baked- Love, a rich coppery orangey color
The swatches start with YDK and go in order across the top, ending with half baked on the bottom
I know the packaging is supposed to be eco-friendly but I don’t like it. The lid flops all over the place so its not good for traveling.
My favorite colors to use are YDK and Half-Baked for a neutral look and if I want to add a pop to the look I’ll take flip-side and use it as a liner under my bottom lashes.
Oil Slick is also in my AMMO palette and I feel like it has better pigmentation in that one.
While I do like some of the shades that came with this I don’t feel like this was a very good buy. I rarely reach for it and have had a better experience with other sets by UD. Save your money and buy the AMMO or NAKED palette instead

NYX Concealer in a Jar
So here is my little jar of NYX concealer
Sorry, the picture isn’t very good!
I purchased mine off cherryculture.com because I wanted to try and it haven’t seen it available at ULTA but you can buy it from the ULTA website where I buy alot of my NYX stuff. It cost 4.50 and I bought a few other things so I didn’t pay any shipping!
I got the shade beige and I’d say its a pretty good match to my skin color. The consistency of this is very creamy and blendable and you do get some good coverage with it. It definitely works around the nose and cheek area to conceal any redness and I use it under my eyebrows after I pluck to cover any irritation I have. When it comes to covering blemishes I’d say this is so so. It goes on pretty well but I find myself having to retouch any really bad spots I have. I’ve tried this under my eyes as well and I think it works fine for that. Its not so thick that it settles in lines and I always set it with a powder.
I’m still looking for that perfect concealer but in the meantime this works well.

Rimmel: Fix and Perfect PRO Primer
Primer is a very important part of my makeup routine. Like I’ve mentioned I have oily skin so if I’m going to get the most out of foundation I need to use a primer first. I’ve tried quite a few Smashbox Photo Finish, NYX HD Studio Photogenic Primer and NYX Studio Perfect Photo Loving Primer and another one by PIXI that I really liked but I can’t seem to find at the moment so I’m not sure of the name. Anyways, I definitely perfer primers with more of a silicone base. I wasn’t really looking for a new primer but I was at Target this morning buying dog food and accidentally wandered into the makeup section
This Rimmel Fix and Perfect Pro primer says it will smooth lines, resurface skin, brighten, mattify and protect. That’s alot from a little drugstore primer that only cost about 6 bucks but I figured I would give it a try. I used it today and I will say I really liked the way my foundation went on. I felt like it minimized my pores and kept me from getting oily most of the day. It does have a bit of a smell but I kind of liked it, plus it seemed to dissipate after wearing it a few minutes. I’d probably put this in my top 2 favorite primers right behind NYX Studio Perfect Photo Loving Primer. All in all if you’re looking for a drugstore primer to try out I definitely suggest this one and let me know what you think!

L’oreal Project Runway Limited Edition Quad: Sultry Raven’s Gaze
I picked this up from Walgreen’s the other night on a whim and it was a big waste of money. I think I paid $8.99 for this and I’m pretty sure I wont be wearing it again. The quad comes with one gray shade, a silver, black, and a purplish grape color. All swatch pretty terribly and they go on even worse. The color pay-off was pr non-existent and I couldn’t get them to blend at all. Out of the 4 colors the silver was the best but you could get a silver shade anywhere. I tried using this for a smokey eye but in the end my eyelid just looked dirty. I did use a primer with this, it didn’t make a difference. This quad did come in some other colors, I think I saw a brown quad and one with a turquoise shade in it. I’m not sure how those work but this one was a dud.
If you have better luck with yours let me know!

My Go To Lip Balm!
What could possibly be cuter than the EOS lip balms! I’m addicted to my sweet mint one and keep one in my room, my car and in my purse!
I like the EOS balms because they don’t make my lips feel greasy or sticky and I love the tingle I get from the mint one! I use them under and over lipstick, before bed and in the morning before I apply my makeup. They’re a little clunky and not something you could fit in your pocket but I love their unique shape! I’ve purchased all of mine from ULTA beauty supply for around 3 bucks.
