Lorac: Naked Lace Eye, Lip, Cheek Collection
Just a quick review on another value set I purchased recently. This one is from Lorac and I mainly purchased it to try out the mini lip glosses that it came with. I’ve been hit or miss with Lorac eye shadows but the ones that came with this set are amazing! The baked Lorac eyeshadows that I tried were super chalky and the ones that I had in a palette broke right away. However, this set came with little shadow pots and I can’t say enough good things about them.
First, the lace clutch this came with is so pretty. I love anything with black lace and nude color so I instantly liked this. This doesn’t feel low quality at all and I could see myself using this as an actual clutch for a night out. Packaging gets an A+
Next, the lip glosses!!! I’m obsessed! The colors this came with are Vintage, which is a true nude shade, Trend setter which is a peachy pink with a slightly shimmery look but no actual glitter, and last Muse which is a great nudey pink. These are available to purchase in full-size outside of the set and I have to buy them. The smell of these are amazing. It’s like a cinnamon marshmallow? Haha I don’t know it’s hard to describe, but if you’ve used the Lorac Tantalizer Bronzing lotion it is the exact same smell. These are very creamy and do have some opaqueness to them. While they are thick enough to be pigmented they don’t feel sticky. I need to buy Vintage and Muse, they are so pretty and perfect colors on me. I’ve been wearing these alone and over lipsticks and they work great either way.
These eyeshadows are great everyday shades. The texture is very creamy and they blend like butter. If you aren’t very good with eyeshadows these would be very easy for you to use. While these colors are not available outside of this set I believe these are the same formula and packaging as Lorac’s normal single eyeshadows. Boudouir is actually a more taupey plum than in this swatch and it makes a perfect crease color. Negligee is a champage cream color and makes a great highlight because it isn’t overly shimmery but I also have been wearing this all over my lid or in my inner eye. They are just great, easy to use shades.
The blush is a great classic peachy pink called Rendezvous. It works really well with the other items in this collection and just gives my cheeks a nice natural flush. It’s not matte but the shimmer in it is still wearable everyday.
Overall I think everything in this set is great quality and it’s a great neutral collection to have. You can wear everything and look super natural but you can also use boudoir to smoke out your eye and easily transition to an evening look. I think this is an excellent group of items to keep in your purse for fast touch-ups at work and to take you from a day to night look. I’m really pleased I didn’t miss out on this ( I got it during a sale on hautelook) so if you see it for sale online or at a store grab it!

Tarte One Fine Clay Amazonian Color Collection
I’ve been a huge fan of Tarte Amazonian Clay 12 Hour blushes since I purchased 2 of them a few months back and I’m always reading great reviews on the rest of the Tarte line. Since this is a pricier brand the best way to try out other products is by purchasing value sets that contain a few different products to try out at a super reasonable price.
The One Fine Clay Collection costs only 39 dollars and contains:
A full size Amazonian Clay Smart Mascara
A full size SmolderEyes Amazonian Clay waterproof liner + sharpener
Smooth operator Amazonian Clay illuminating Serum
Amazonian Clay 12-blush in peaceful
Amazonian Clay Bronzer in park ave princess
Travel Makeup Bag
This is one of the best value sets I have purchased in a very long time. Every product it comes with is gorgeous and I plan on buying full-size versions of the bronzer and illuminating serum. The blush is a gorgeous color but I think it is only available in this kit. Keep in mind the full size versions of the blush and bronzer do come with a mirror in the compact.
The swatches from top to bottom:
1. SmolderEyes pencil hard line
2. SmolderEYES pencil smudged out
3. Illuminating Serum
4. Park Ave Princess Bronzer
5. Blush in peaceful
This eye pencil is probably my favorite product I’ve tried this year. The color is a gorgeous smokey bronze and it lasts all day. I’ve been wearing this all around my eye with no other eye shadow or liner. I smoke out the line and then use this on my waterline as well. I’m so impressed with the staying power this has. It doesn’t transfer to the top of my lid, it doesn’t give me raccoon eyes and I need to buy this in every other color available! I give this a 10/10. It’s amazing.
This mascara is amazing as well! It’s supposed to make your lashes healthier and stronger which I never really notice with any mascara but it does make my lashes gorgeous. It’s a dark black, doesn’t clump and does a great job lengthening. My favorite part is this does not smudge under my eyes at all and keeps my lashes feeling really soft. My experience with mascaras that feel soft and natural is that they never look very dramatic. This is a great day and night mascara.
I already knew I loved the Tarte Amazonian Clay Blushes but I’m really glad I got to try this bronzer. It’s definitely not matte but it isn’t over shimmery either. I’ve been applying this over my whole face for a really nice warm glow. It doesn’t look orange on my skin at all just healthy and bright. This would be worth buying the full-size of. The blush is gorgeous. It’s a very subtle peachy natural shade that requires zero effort to wear. It looks very natural on and would work on all skin tones.
Lastly, I love the illuminating serum. I’ve been wearing it as a primer under foundation and it gives my skin a nice glow without looking sparkly or overly dewy. This serum is supposed to balance out skin, moisturize your dry areas and tame oil shine in your oily zones. I feel like this does a good job at keeping my skin balanced throughout the day. In my opinion this is a cross between a primer and tinted moisturizer. It does provide some coverage but I couldn’t wear it alone since my skin has too many dark spots and scarring. I read a few complaints that it can separate in the tube over time, since i’ve only had this a few weeks I can’t say whether or not this happens but I have been using this sparingly because I like it so much and don’t want to run out. I’ll probably break down and buy the full size when I do.
Overall I think this set is amazing. If you have even the slightest interest in Tarte products pick this up because you’ll love it.

Review: Laura Geller Baked Vanilla Nudes
Hey ladies, I just wanted to do a quick follow up to the Laura Gellar first impression blog I wrote yesterday. If you haven’t seen it yet you can click here for the pictures and swatches I took of all the products.
So as I previously wrote I picked up this Laura Gellar kit on hautelook for only 30 dollars. The set came with a balance-n-brighten powder, a blush, eyeshadow duo, mascara, brush and lipstick. Today I used the whole set while getting ready for work and I love it!
I didn’t think I would be able to use the balance-n-brighten powder because I ordered mine in the shade tan and I’m the palest I’ve been in awhile right now but I tried it anyways and was super pleased with it. Since the shade was a little dark for me I had to really blend it down the neck area but the product itself was awesome. This powder is supposed to be worn alone as a powder foundation but my skin has a few marks on it right now so I wore this over a liquid foundation. It looked great though and lasted my entire 6 hour work day without fading. My t-zone stayed shine free which is something I love about any product. It really gave my skin a beautiful natural finish without looking powdery. I definitely would recommend this to anyone who’s been on the fence about it.
The blush was lovely. A bright pinky shade that was sheer enough to look natural but still gave my cheeks a pretty flush. My only complaint was since this blush is a highlighter and contour together the actual pink shade is really skinny and I ended up with a lot of the highlight shade on my brush. I still loved the way it looked though so not a big deal.
Great eyeshadow duo too. This came with the duo vanilla/black cherry. I applied the vanilla over lip up to the crease and then smoked out my outer-v and lower lashline. This had nice pigmentation blended easily and lasted all night. I will definitely be reaching for this often.
The last thing I tried was the lipstick which came in the shade berry banana. AMAZING! I wasn’t really expecting much from this shade but it applied to my lips as a really neutral my natural lip color but better shade. It’s moisturizing, didn’t feather, and overall just was really easy to wear. I think this will be my go-to lip product for awhile.
I didn’t use the mascara yet or the brush but overall I love this set. I don’t see any value sets like this available on the laura geller website but I would keep checking back on hautelook.com for another sale. I think this is something I would actually repurchase again because it was such a great deal. Again, if you need an invite to hautelook.com you can click here and then register.
